Measurement services

Entrust your samples to our team of measurement specialists

From conventional analysis to a innovative blend of methodologies.

As probably the biggest power users of our instruments, the IMCE measurement lab has enormous experience when it comes to carrying out precise analyses & material characterizations. Providing support in finding solutions to complex measurements is one of many advantages of our measurement service. With our diverse measurement services, we would like to support you with our know-how and resources.

At IMCE, we understand the challenges faced by scientists, researchers, and engineers in today’s fast-changing market. With our extensive experience, we can help with occasional or challenging measurement needs. Whether you’re dealing with metals, ceramics, refractories, coatings, building materials, composites or other materials, our comprehensive services cover a wide range of applications.

Our measurement service offers an end-to-end solution, starting from the initial discussion of sample dimensions to the actual measurement process and delivery of a comprehensive measurement report. Recognizing the unique requirements of each project, we provide the flexibility for custom measurement procedures.
We can also help you in optimizing your application.

Our 3-Step approach:

Discuss your requirements

Clarify your requirements with us and find matching sample dimensions.

Send us your
samples

When the dimensions and experiment settings are clear, simply send us your samples.

Measurement report delivery

Measurement results are post-processed into a comprehensive measurement report.

Measurement Methods

Room temperature measurement

Measurement of the Young’s modulus, shear modulus, Poisson’s ratio, internal friction and resonant frequency according to ASTM E1876 at room temperature. After the samples are received at IMCE, they will be analyzed with a short turnaround time and the results will be presented in a clear measurement report. Contact us to discuss an optimal sample preparation!

Measurement services

Low/High temperature measurement

Measurement of the Young’s modulus, shear modulus, Poisson’s ratio, internal friction and resonant frequency according to ASTM E1876 from -80°C up to maximum 1600°C. Measurements are performed in an air atmosphere or, if required, including an inert gas flow to slow down oxidation at high temperature. Contact us to discuss you experiment settings!
